How do I cancel my inspection, and can I get a refund?

What happens when you cancel depends on your platform. Either way, cancel at least 3 hours before your scheduled time using the cancellation link in your reminder emails.

Lyft and Turo — a prepayment is collected when you book. Cancel at least 3 hours before your appointment and it's refunded in full. Cancellations made less than 3 hours before your appointment are not eligible for a refund or a free reschedule.

Verida — a $40 hold is placed on your card instead of a payment, so there's no refund. Cancel at least 3 hours before your appointment and the hold is released. Cancelling less than 3 hours before your appointment means the hold is charged as a cancellation fee, and that fee isn't refundable. See "How do Verida inspections work?" for details.
