Why is there a wait, and what if I leave the Zoom room?

There is sometimes a short wait before your inspection, and if you leave the Zoom room you may lose your place.

First, we need to establish a connection with you in the Zoom room, which may occasionally cause a short delay. Once you are connected, your inspector may be finishing up a previous customer's inspection before they can begin yours.

Please remain connected in the Zoom room until the inspector is ready to start.

If you leave the Zoom room, this counts as a missed appointment. To complete your inspection you'll need to book a new appointment, and a new inspection fee will apply. See "What happens if I miss my appointment?"

For Verida inspections, the hold placed on your card at booking is charged, and a new hold is placed when you book your new appointment. See "How do Verida inspections work?" for details.
