When am I charged?

When you're charged depends on your platform.

Lyft and Turo — you're charged when you book. Your payment is collected when you schedule your appointment.

Verida — you aren't charged when you book. A $40 hold is placed on your card to reserve your appointment slot. A hold is an authorization, not a charge — the money isn't taken.

When a Verida hold becomes a charge: if you cancel less than 3 hours before your appointment, if you miss your appointment, or if you join more than 5 minutes after your start time. See "How do Verida inspections work?"
