If your payment didn't go through, here's what to do.
Lyft and Turo — your appointment isn't confirmed until payment succeeds, so the slot isn't held for you while this is unresolved.
Verida — no payment is taken when you book. A $40 authorization hold is placed on your card instead, and your appointment isn't confirmed until that hold is approved. A hold can only be placed on a credit or debit card, not on PayPal, Google Pay or Apple Pay. See "How do Verida inspections work?"
Try these, in this order:
- Recheck your card details — number, expiry, security code and billing ZIP.
- Open an incognito or private browser window and try again from there.
- If it still declines, try from a desktop computer instead of your phone.
- Try a different card or payment method.
If it still won't process, your bank may be blocking the transaction — they can tell you in a way we can't see from our side.
