If you booked a Verida inspection, this article covers what applies to you.
You aren't charged when you book. A $40 hold is placed on your card to reserve your appointment slot. A hold is an authorization, not a charge — the money isn't taken.
The hold is released after you pass your inspection. Depending on your bank, it can take up to 7 business days to drop off your statement.
If you cancel at least 3 hours before your appointment, the hold is released back to your card.
If you cancel less than 3 hours before your appointment, the hold is charged as a cancellation fee. This fee is not refundable.
If you miss your appointment, or join more than 5 minutes after your start time, the hold is charged. To complete your inspection you'll need to book a new appointment, and a new $40 hold will be placed at that time.
You must complete the inspection yourself. Because a Verida inspection is for non-emergency medical transportation, it can't be completed by anyone else on your behalf.
