How do I prepare for my inspection?

To prepare for your inspection, check your email appointment reminder for detailed instructions. For quick reference, have ready:

• Your vehicle
• A smartphone with a working camera
• A penny (to test tire tread)
• For Turo inspections: a multimeter, if your battery's manufacture date isn't visible
• A stable internet connection
• 20%+ battery life on your phone
• Access to your Zoom link
• Your vehicle parked in a safe, well-lit location

Turo requires the 12V battery to be five years old or less. If the date isn't readable on the battery, the inspector needs a multimeter reading to pass it — see "What are the battery requirements for Turo?"
